Hello! I’m Claire Gibson, and I’m thrilled to introduce myself as the new Land Manager at Green Volt.

Joining the team developing the Green Volt floating offshore windfarm project feels like the perfect alignment of my passion for land stewardship and my belief in the power of renewable energy to create a more sustainable future.

My role at Green Volt

As Green Volt’s Land Manager, I’m responsible for making sure we not only secure the best land for our project, but that we do so in a way that benefits everyone involved. My role includes:

  • Building strong relationships with landowners: One of my main priorities is making sure that landowners fully understand how renewable energy projects will benefit them. I believe in open, honest communication, and I’m dedicated to fostering positive relationships throughout the process
  • Land acquisition: I oversee the land acquisition process, ensuring that we comply with all relevant regulations while also maximising the potential of each site for renewable energy and environmental conservation
  • Engaging with local communities: I’m a big believer in community involvement, and I’ll be working closely with local residents to ensure our projects align with both their environmental and social goals
  • Sustainable land management: My passion lies in ensuring that all the land we work with is managed sustainably. From protecting biodiversity to minimising our environmental footprint, I’m committed to finding solutions that support both renewable energy and healthy ecosystems.

Why I’m passionate about Green Volt

I’m incredibly excited to be part of the Green Volt floating offshore windfarm project because the company’s mission aligns perfectly with my own values. Renewable energy isn’t just about reducing carbon emissions—it’s about integrating clean energy with thoughtful, responsible land use that benefits the planet and the people who live on it.

I love that Green Volt takes a holistic approach, considering not only the environmental impacts but also the social and economic benefits for local communities.

For me, this role is an opportunity to merge my passion for sustainable land management with my desire to drive the shift toward renewable energy. I’m excited to be part of a project that is leading the charge in creating a greener, more sustainable future.

Thank you for taking the time to get to know me. I look forward to working with all our stakeholders and making a positive impact together.
