– Green Volt Project Director, Matt Green discusses why Floating Offshore Wind 2025 matters more than ever
Convening our nascent but fast-growing industry has never been more important.
RenewableUK and Scottish Renewables’ annual Floating Offshore Wind conference is one of the highlights of the renewable energy calendar – a place where ambition meets innovation, and where the future of offshore wind takes shape.
For the Green Volt team, Floating Offshore Wind 2025 feels particularly special. This year we step into the role of strategic event partner at a pivotal time in our journey. Fresh from securing a Contract for Difference in 2024, Green Volt is moving at pace from vision into delivery and we’re excited to share our progress with the industry.
As the world’s largest commercial-scale floating offshore wind project, Green Volt is more than a development; it’s a blueprint for the future.
Over the past 12 months, we’ve awarded FEED contracts, completed major surveys, and brought world-class partners on board – all with one clear goal: to start building a windfarm on a scale never seen before.
With scale comes responsibility. As a first mover, we know the industry is looking to us to lead, and we take that role seriously. Sponsoring Floating Offshore Wind 2025 is about convening our fast-growing sector, building a supply chain rooted in Scotland, and ensuring the economic benefits of floating wind ripple across communities and businesses nationwide.
The agenda this year is packed with insight, and we’re proud to have several of our leaders taking to the stage – including Stephen Bull, Barry MacLeod, Frida Knudsen and Chris Pearson. Expect honest reflections on the lessons we’ve learned and a forward-looking perspective on what it takes to turn pioneering ambition into reality.
For Green Volt, knowledge-sharing isn’t a nice-to-have; it’s at the heart of how we work. Floating Offshore Wind 2025 provides the perfect platform to trade ideas, tackle challenges, and chart a path for floating wind that is both ambitious and achievable.
We can’t wait to meet colleagues, partners and peers in Aberdeen this November. If you’d like to arrange a conversation with a member of our team during the event, please do get in touch.
Together, let’s make #FloatingWind25 the launchpad for the next chapter of floating offshore wind.
