Our Community Liaison Officer, Teresa Dawson has been dedicating time at the Apex Community Café in Peterhead every Wednesday lunchtime since March 2024, now totalling 100 hours’ of community engagement.
With Green Volt’s transmission cable making landfall close to Peterhead, it marks an opportunity for local groups to come together to discuss local matters and ensure the community is represented in development plans.
Teresas’s commitment at the Apex Community Café involves serving soup and sandwiches to vulnerable members of the community, and ensuring they receive a warm meal and friendly interaction.
Teresa’s hard work and compassion have made a significant impact locally, providing not only food and nourishment to the community but also a sense of belonging and support to those in need.
The Apex team have collectively helped create a welcoming drop-in environment where the community’s most vulnerable members can find comfort and care.

”"Apex Café really appreciate the support Teresa gives at the café on a Wednesday lunchtime, her help and hard work are invaluable, she’s well liked by our regulars and takes time to engage with everyone".
