In December, we announced site investigations at the substation and landfall locations, and now work is in full swing throughout the entire cable corridor to ensure thorough data collection for the project’s next phases.
We’re pleased to share that site investigation work has now officially begun along the Green Volt cable route, with our teams conducting essential surveys and assessments across the consented cable corridor over approximately 17 weeks.
These works mark a significant milestone in the Green Volt project, enabling us to gather critical data that will inform the next stages of development and design. The investigations will include geotechnical surveys, ground condition assessments, and environmental studies to ensure that the cable route is designed and implemented to the highest standards of efficiency and environmental responsibility.
Throughout this period, our teams will be operating across various locations along the corridor, with measures in place to minimise any disruption to local communities and landowners. We appreciate your cooperation and patience as we progress through this crucial phase of the project’s site investigation work.
This milestone represents another step forward in delivering Green Volt floating offshore windfarm as a sustainable project driving forward the energy transition. Green Volt is committed to the highest standards of responsible infrastructure development; if you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact the project team.
